Hopeful Ever After #025
October 2026
Dear Followers,
It is Autumn. It can be a beautiful time of year with the crisp air, the sight of leaves changing color, and apple picking if you live near orchards. It is also a stark reminder that everything changes, especially when your person has died. It can be a reminder that he/she is gone never to return and this can make us melancholy. The shortness of the days doesn’t help. Our days can feel darker but just remember brighter days are ahead. Walking in the fresh air, connecting with friends, and just breathing is something we can all do. If you have a pet, play with them – it is National Pet Month. They love us unconditionally.
Sending love and hugs,
Carolyn

This Month’s Financial Tip
Financial Tip: Always check with an advisor about any pension
questions.
Pensions: It is a retirement benefit that provides regular income to a
person after they retire, usually based on their years of service, salary, and terms of their retirement plan.
Please reach out if you have questions about how when and to best plan for your retirement.

Some Considerations for your Pension
I get a lot of questions about pensions. Here is a hypothetical of someone having two pensions and wanting to know about whether to roll them into an IRA or take the pensions. You want to know the total of the pensions and value of the lifetime income. Individual circumstances like: survivor needs, inflation, liquidity, taxes, health and other assets need to be evaluated before any decision is made.
I have explained this example in past Newsletters but it is a frequent question that I get asked. Now if you wanted to leave someone the remainder of the pension, then you could take a reduced payment and add a beneficiary. There are several income options people have available in most pension plans.
We can be a resource to answer any concerns you may have with your current pensions.

Books Worth Reading
I think I have recommended it before but if so, here it is again. It is not French but it has many great recipes. I read cookbooks like I read novels! Ouida also has a monthly newsletter with recipes if you are interested.
Go to www.hollyhillandco.com. She has 6 restaurants, a cooking school, and a bakery. An amazing person is an understatement.
This Month’s Recipe
This time of year we are looking for yummy simple recipes! The holidays are upon us. I am always looking for simple and easy recipes. Since olives were being harvested, I am sharing a Ouida Michel’s recipe using Olives.
Tapenade
1 1⁄2 cup pitted olives
Put the olives in the bowl of a food processor with:
2 Tablespoons of capers
2 small cloves of peeled, crushed garlic
8 anchovies in oil, optional
7 or 8 mint or basil leaves
1⁄2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
Add 1⁄2 cup of the best possible extra virgin olive oil.
Directions
Pulse 15 or 20 times, or until you have achieved the texture you want.
Taste again, and add salt, if needed, although the tapenade is usually already salty enough from the olives and capers.
Refrigerate until serving time. Serve cool, but not ice cold.
HYPOTHETICAL EXAMPLE DISCLOSURE
The client scenario presented above is hypothetical and intended for illustrative purposes only. It does not represent an actual client, and any resemblance to a real person or situation is coincidental. The assumptions used (contribution amounts, employer match, and product selection) are simplified for educational purposes and do not reflect all variables that may apply to your individual situation. Hypothetical illustrations have inherent limitations. They do not account for taxes, fees, market fluctuations, product-specific restrictions, or other factors that could materially affect outcomes. Past results are not indicative of future performance. This example should not be construed as a recommendation or guarantee of any specific financial result. Please consult with a qualified financial professional before making any investment decisions.
TESTIMONIALS & ENDORSEMENTS DISCLOSURE
Any testimonials or endorsements featured in Accurate Advisory Group's marketing materials are provided by current clients of Accurate Advisory Group, Inc. and/or Accurate Wealth Management LLC. Clients were not compensated, directly or indirectly, for providing their testimonial or endorsement. Testimonials reflect the individual experiences of those clients and may not be representative of the experience of all clients. Testimonials are not a guarantee of future performance or success. Accurate Advisory Group and its affiliates have a material conflict of interest in presenting client testimonials, as positive testimonials may encourage prospective clients to engage the firm's services. Clients providing testimonials may have a pre-existing personal or professional relationship with firm personnel.
ANNUITY RISK DISCLOSURE
Any reference to lifetime income, guaranteed payments, or other financial benefits associated with annuity products is subject to the claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance company. Annuities are insurance products and are not insured by the FDIC or any federal government agency. Annuity products vary significantly by issuer and contract terms. Surrender charges, fees, and withdrawal restrictions may apply. Tax-deferred growth does not imply tax-free withdrawal; distributions are generally subject to ordinary income tax and, if taken before age 59½, may be subject to a 10% IRS early withdrawal penalty. Fixed annuities carry inflation risk, as fixed payments may lose purchasing power over time. The discussion of annuities in this newsletter is for educational purposes only and does not constitute a recommendation to purchase any specific product. Individual suitability depends on your financial situation, goals, time horizon, and risk tolerance. Please consult with a qualified financial and tax professional before making any annuity-related decisions.
